Attending the ASTM F24 meeting the hot topic was the International Harmonization effort and how to create best practice standards for the industry. Best practice standards can change the game and have a very positive impact on for instance cost reduction, safety enhancement and adapting to new technologies across the industry.

The IAAPA Safety Institute AAE 2017 focused on how to create park safety culture – a very relevant and omnipresent subject. Rac Carroll from Ellis & Associates emphasized the need for management buy-in including investment in training to promote safety. Also, the Safety Learning Lab led by Steve Wood of Ultimate Entertainment Group re-emphasized the need for management buy-in in safety, including investment in technology and the need for a higher level of details in daily, weekly and yearly checklists.

Finally, Mobaro Park along with JNE&LC, Simworx, and HB Leisure co-hosted the Asia Reception at the top of the Marina Bay Sands having a great time with old friends and gaining a lot of new once.
